DAY 56!
DON'T GET MAD, GET CREATIVE!
UPDATE: Friday, 15-Apr-2005 8:44 PM
Another Friday. Not the most special one as tomorrow I am on a plane most of the day. Away from Family. Not easy...
So, today I'll keep the blog a bit short.
Yesterday, in the AM, I predicted that APPLE stock would hit new highs and go about growing once again. Well, Apple Computer as a company is doing just that, and will be a good buy candidate when things settle down.
However, for the time being all things are headed down, and I am watching my short pick LNG keep going south. And enjoying it.
As the blog updates showed, the Apple options going long (calls) were for July and October expiration, so that is some time to recoup and get some of the funds back. However, I didn't dwell on the loss as plenty of gains were made when Apple shot up nearly 200% for me last year, and earlier this year when options gained over 250% average -2 sets of them.
What I am happy about is LNG going south. As I said earlier, the fundamentals on the stock were never great but Wall Street had a 'buy' consensus on it. I couldn't figure out why, but I assumed that oil prices and gas prices had topped off and the bubble would burst.
It has, and now LNG is paying the price. I hope to see it around the low 20's when it splits later next week.
Once again, this is no time to get into stocks as stocks will keep going down, from time to time, until the market shows direction. The last time direction was shown nicely was in the fall of 04. However, for a market that has gone up since 2003, now is not a good time to "get in".
Having said that I am now going thru a complete updating of www.nextsuperstock.com to reflect more of my work and show stock breakouts.
Working with CAN SLIM for so long and knowing what I look for, showing user of my site stock breakouts will nicely aide everyone's stocking buying information.
All of this work once again is training on the way to managing a large portfolio while I build the 31-STEP Success plan.
Many more updates as I take my blog to the confines of a 767 or 777 tomorrow on the way to Newark, NY.
Ok, 'til then, hope all is well and a good weekend. Sam out!
