DAY #184 -- Launch: T-25 Days!
UPDATE: Thursday, 08-Dec-2005 9:24 AM
This AM I want to take a break from work and talk about mistakes or what I call "learning experiences" --I am having a lot of them just in this blog, as I am not the best writer and I am the worst speller. Further complicating that is that my thoughts are well ahead of my very fast typing speed.
I know there are a lot of 'typos' and mistakes, but such is life. Only by doing, only by putting the tips of my fingers to the keyboard will I find out what I can and what I must improve on.
I think most people who get to this site will misunderstand what I am doing here. With one glance, they will snap and say it's a scheme to make money or "this guy is greedy" or something.
I don't mind what is said. I could care less.
The reason I am doing what I am doing is that I asked a few questions of my self many years ago, and the answers to them were not attained by 1999 or so...
The questions had to do with self improvement --reaching excellence. Why was I not making the progress that was a part of my vision. Why was I "stumbling" along?
As I look back and even as early as last year, the answer came back as this: I was trying to 'success' too fast. Then I slowed down. I started to break down tasks. I started to work on each step --one by one.
And then things started to click. Then things started to make progress and made concrete improments, especially in my own. Everthing I started to do from that point made sense and was done well. Not perfect, but well.
It still leaves a lot for improvement.
So, when you are reading this, it's NOT about the money. It's all about "SELF" and the lot in life we accept. In my case I do accept "MY lot" but I also work daily to improve my "self" and what I do. What I do I hope will help a lot of people, such as you reading this, and many of our IR's attain their dreams and aspirations. I know it will!
So, there are a lot of "R" letters missing. I often go so far that I don't have time to type the 'r' in your, so it ends up being something like this: I hope you day is a great one.
Then I read back and l wonder what the hell I smoked (I don't by the way) but such is life. It's not perfect. It's a work in progress. Remember, just about every book that you read has been thru a few editors and the fellow writing it does that full-time. So, it's also good to understand the context of a subject.
Now, all of this has a point... It's called EXPERIENCE... but a break... I have "This Land is Your Land" sung by Bruce Springstein on iTUNES(R) coming up. I decided to play iTunes today as I am the only one here and I rewarded myself for some hard work on Saturday and earlier in the week. However, after an hour or so, it's give me a headache, so I'll shut it down.
Yes, experience, that was my FOCUS, that was my discussion. The point that I wanted to make was that learning for the rest of your life is a wonderful idea. I am there too. I am learning everyday. However, the point that I wanted to make was that eclipsing learning as your most cherished activity will be DOING. Indeed, doing is the master of success. For it is when you are "doing" that you will learn the most, understand the most and experience the most.
IF you don't do, it's like talking about sex when we were teens. It's nice, but there's a lot more to it.
In everything that you do -here at the Maxsimo Network, on the Internet or anywhere, when you start "doing" things start to change very rapidly.
That is what happened in the first 10 or 11 STEPS at P31.COM. I found myself in a transformation, in a suspended state of higher achievement --even more than I had experienced since my last success. My level of confidence, my decisions and my expectations have "been realistic" on the most part (I'll leave out some ad expectations out --they did not work), but in the whole of things, they were right and the methods of that process are very much what success is built upon.
Indeed the journey of a 1,000 miles begins with the FIRST STEP. Taking that first and marching with determination and perseverence defines the success and seperates actions that yield failure.
Now a work item...

Back to a thought I had... When I first checked on this the site had a TON of BROKEN links. It's interesting that none of my readers pointed this out. I often let people or webmasters know when there is a site problem. I guess that's just me.
Anyway, the site had countless broken links. So, I looked around that found out that many of them were links that I had put up to articles that were on CNN.COM or some other news organization. They often move their pages and it's not a good idea to link to such pages.
So, I removed many such external links and I stopped putting links like that in my writing. The end result is that I am down to "18 broken" links from what I see in the SITE STATS. Now my goal is to remove those broken links, one by one. And end up with ZERO broken links.
That's basically how success is built. STEP by STEP.
Success, Sam.
