Another Friday and the end to a long week where a lot of decisions were made.

I spent most of today finishing my desk that I had started way back in October --so long ago that I cannot even remember. I have been using it, but a few finishing touches are left. Mainly the desk area needs some drawers and the entire bookshelf part needs a bit of a darker paint job.

The problem with the desk part was that I was not 100% satisfied with my original plans. In the midst of building it, I had a vision that the 'look and feel' of the setup was something that I was not going to like. So, I halted the plan, and then it took over 3 months to decide on a new plan.

Now I have it. An open 'look and feel' that I am happy with. I should be --I only spend about 8 to 10 hours here a day. I'd better like it.

I am sure I will. Already it feels good and I still have about a days work and the entire paint job to do.

Why do I mention a desk?

Well, I thought about the way I do things while building it. Some people might question why I started the project and then just left it a bit "undone" for that long. The reason I did that is because of this: Usually, with any project you cannot have a perfect plan RIGHT UP FRONT.

Lot of things will change as you go along. Don't think so? Just ask a construction foreman or home builder. They will tell you that plans change all the time. The owner, builder or architect will come up with something better or money saving, etc. and the plan is changed. Or perhaps, it was because of safety.

In my case I had to like it. Period. It didn't matter that everyone entering the house saw it or that my wife said 'this or that' --it had to be functional and looking good for me.

Just like that you may get started on a business plan and then half way along you change your mind or think otherwise. There are two important considerations. First of all was the item that you changed your mind on related to cash flow? In that case better think twice. IF the change will effect cash flow, be very careful before you make changes. Then all the assumptions that you made regarding the business may also have to be changed.

However, if the change that you initiated is a better way to do something, or a plan that was adjusted to accommodate some unforeseen 'step' --make sure to make that change.

BTW, I have re-written most of the text for the NEXT Super Stock site. Starting on Monday I will use the site as a test for the Google ADWORDS, where I can pay to show an add at Google's network and then buy visitors to www.nextsuperstock.com and work on revenue generation. So, that aspect of my product is going.

I am also working on ideas for the P31 Success Building Center and I hope to get that up and going before the end of the month.
