DAY 122
Update: Tuesday, 12-Jul-2005 3:13 PM
Then a better day...
Not
sure what happened yesterday. It was an "Indecision
Monday" as I could not do anything.
I did manage to update the NEXT SuperStock site
and now I have left it up to a staff member to
finish some of the details.
As
far as what I could point out, my routine was
off --a family guest who I thought would show
up in the late afternoon was at the door in
the morning I guess I am a creature with a
good routine and when that gets messed up,
all things go down the drain.
Anyway,
that over with an I am going again.
Most
of the press releases are done and what I had
in the queue was to work on the articles using
the press releases. I was going to have about
25 articles and now I have put that off to
test something that I have read over and over
about.
Here
is a summary of the test that I wanted to run:
I wasted to create an account at Google --well,
I have already done that --and place advertising
that led readers to a site where I was selling
a product. In this case the product I came
up with was one that would build corporate
credit for the buyer. The report's know-how
comes from all the research that I did over
the last 2 years regarding corporate credit
building after spending about $8,000.00 to
have it done by a consultant. Well, it never
got done but I did manage to get my money back
unlike a bunch of others who were out anywhere
from $8,000.00 to about $22,000.00. I think
around 30 people lost their money in the process.
However,
in the mess I saw an opportunity where I could
create a product and sell it on the Internet
using all the ideas and techniques that I have
learned from various articles and ebooks.
So,
here goes the plan:
A. Create a good CORPORATE
CREDIT BUILDING MANUAL -- research done.
B. Web site secured. I got www.corporatecreditbuilding.com
--although I will be selling the item from
the SUCCESS BUILDING CENTER at this site, I
wanted another location to promote the product
and that domain seemed perfect.
C. My focus will be to work on products and services
that help mostly North American based businesses
build their credit history and get commercial credit
lines. ALL this is part of BUSINESS SUCCESS BUILDING.
Most business fail due to a lack of credit.
D. The Business Credit Manual will be the first
product. I'll add an area where buyers of the
product can get their latest links and resources.
E. The only other product I have decided to
create is a summary of all the products, services,
tools and techniques that I have used to build
this site and the 31-STEP Success Plan. I plan
to sell the "Manual" for this site for about
$9.95 or a bit more with access to a "Private
Site" with updates. The object is to create
a list of resources, a work book and other helpful
'knowledge base' that will aide anyone trying
to build their own business or success plan!
Having
said that, there are other products that I
have kept working on that I will also
sell. There is a subscription at NEXT SuperStock
and one other product that I am handling there.
Lastly, there is the building of an Investment
Fund that I wanted to finalize before the end
of 2006. I spent a considerable time thinking
about all this work, and made a decision that
by September of this year, I'll make sure that
cash flow is going well and 'up-date' myself
to an office where I can get the aide of at least
one staff member (locally) to help all the work
that I am doing. Especially, with the building
of the Investment Fund, I should have enough
cash on hand to delegate some tasks before
I go "nuts!!!".
So,
my focus remains like this throughout out all
the work that I am doing:
1. For P31.COM and the 31-STEP Success Plan:
a. Corporate Credit Product & Download Area.
b. Site Summary and Download Area.
c. 31-STEP Success Building Center
2. For NEXT SuperStock.com:
a. Stock pick of the week.
b. Stock pick of the month
c. Subscriber only area
All the above items are ongoing things that
I do anyway. I have been doing them for a long
time and I am confident that I can keep up this
aspect.
Lastly there is 3. Maxsimo.com:
There are no specific 'products' to speak of
here --the entire network is ONE BIG product.
However, it has been a delay after delay
and I am exploring a new 'game plan' to make
sure that all work in the future will get
done on time.
Most
of my time is focused on:
a. White paper that explains all aspects of the
network to new programmers.
b. Sales area Update --The programming work is
still not done. This has been a major set back
to me, but there's nothing that I can do further.
I have essentially fired one staff member over
this, and now I am working with another programmer
to
finish this.
For
ongoing daily updates and maintenance of the
network I have hired a new group of programmers
in the Netherlands, where the work is much
more reliable and the outcome is far more predictable.
These are the ongoing tasks that I have to work
on product wise. In item #3, I have company help.
In item #2, I also have help and it's a matter
of maintaining what I have always been doing.
Nothing added there.
Then all the work that is left is with the ITEM
#1, and that is where I need to put some focus.
BACK...
Update: Tuesday, 12-Jul-2005 9:58 PM
One
other aspect of what
I am doing that I have discussed at length
is the mailing lists that I am developing.
On the left side of this page and on the right
side of the NEXTSuperStock.com site I have
a mailing list subscribe area.
When
I first put up the mailing list I found out
that they did not work. I have made an error
in the way that I setup the mailing list within
the template and it did not work. Now I have
perfected it and the entire subscriber area
works fine.
Both
mailing lists are run by Subscribe Me program
which I will profile in the resources area
because of some of the abilities of the program.
For instance, the installation is rather simple
after the file setup is done. The installation
is then done by browser using the program itself.
Rather easy for a non-programmer like myself
in the drivers seat.
Back
to the idea of the mailing lists... I plan
to send only one email per week. I think that
is enough to inform but not too many to become
a pest to the subscriber.
The
objective with them mailing lists is two fold:
1. They 'interact with the user of the site' on
a weekly basis.
2. They deliver content and allow me to run several
targeted ads.
This
will then allow the weekly revenue source that
can be in the hundreds of dollars. Once again,
giving me a channel to add to the total to
keep doubling the pennies.
What
I plan to do with the mailings is something
like this:
-------------MAIL
TEMPLATE:
Mailing List Menu for the Week
for the NSS LIST: Company of the week or month
ADD ONE
Other information about NSS
ADD TWO
Past picks -Updates
ADD THREE
Ending Paragraph
---CO-OP ADS AREA
-------------END
of MAIL TEMPLATE
I
believe I can generate about a thousand dollars
of revenue between the two mailing lists on
a weekly basis, with the investment ezine getting
about 65% of the revenue and the P31 mailing
list getting the other 35%. What is more important
than the revenue is the communication between
the site user and the sites.
The
communication on a weekly basis allows me to
introduce new products and specials to the
subscribers on a regular basis.
As
far as all the planning I am doing, this is
an inescapable element of the work that I am
doing. I wanted to not be obligated to any
of this, but after a lot of consideration about
what I wanted to do, I feel confident that
the mailing lists will be an integral part
of the success of the Business Success Model
that I am building.
Ok,
with that thought I'll end the day. I've had
a much better day than yesterday, and I hope
tomorrow will be even better. Hope for you
too! Success, Sam.
