as an example of how I am building business success
online.

Oh,
I almost forgot.
There
are a few things that I wanted to mention.
First of all I created a small budget for P31.COM
-the 31 STEP SUCCESS PLAN site. It's a modest
$400.00 budget.
So
far I had been using freebies to get things
done. Not any more. I have real money to spend
on the project. I decided to go this route
after noticing that I would end up losing a
lot of time not taking advantage of some great
products that I have run across.
I
ended up purchasing the ad software that manages
the banners at the site. That was a $39.95
purchase. I am also going to purchase ad tracking
software for $19.95 --from the same company.
I will feature the company in the reviews area
because I think the software is easy to install
and does a good job managing the features needed
on a web site.
I
have also purchased an ebook about Google's
Adwords program and how to maximize the revenue
from it.
I
have scanned that book and already put to use
some of the techniques that I learned from
it. For example the color of the Google ads
were adjusted as was the location of it on
the web page.
So,
little by little I have made some adjustments
to increase the revenue for the site.
I
then made another change. That is the text
to the site. I really don't know why I had
selected the bold black text that I used before.
I am now using this normal text and will
highlight text only when necessary.
I
think the change is a good one.
I
also spent a good part of the day reviewing
the advertising ideas for the main project,
www.maxsimo.com. One of the immediate consequences
of that was to make 4 new banners using the
728 X 90 size format.
I
will take the new banners before the end of
the day and put it into the ad rotation that
you see running at the top of the site and
below. They are not the best ads. However,
they are what I will start with. Perhaps, in
several months I will re-visit the banners
and design or have someone else design some
good banners.
Now
on to my NETWORK LAUNCH PLAN from my TO DO
LIST's DIARY NOTEBOOK. This is a notebook that
I write all of my plans and then transfer to
my "TO DO LIST" as the plans become 'to do'
items.
On
top of the list is a sequence of ads. The first
set of ads I inserted in a BannersGOmlm ad
set run by Mike G. He has been an Internet
Entrepreneur for many years and I thought I'd
give it a shot by purchasing one of his ad
packages.
It
has gone O.K. so far and the test was positive.
It was done to get the network going. And it
is.
So,
STEP ONE of the process was to run several
ads on the Internet, which I have done. My
next STEP is to run an ad in USA TODAY on the
weekend edition. That will start this Friday.
That I will call STEP TWO.
Then
STEP THREE is to run more ads in several ezines.
I don't plan on doing this 'til July 05. I
will reserve that for a few more weeks until
the project launches.
Now
to STEP FOUR, which I will call an ORGANIC
AD CAMPAIGN. In this campaign, my plan is to
develop a network of sites with one of our
tools at each domain.
The
result is the same as that for p31.com --search
engines will visit, spider the site and catalog
the text and META tag key words. The result
is that the entire network of sites will bring
in organic
search engine traffic that we do not have to
pay for.
I
also had a plan to have PAY PER CLICK (ppc)
type of search engine placement, but I think
I'll
monitor what has been done and how it's working
and before I get into any further paid advertising.
WHY?
Simply because it defies the objective of maxsimo.com
--A growing network of viral tools that build
traffic. IF I need to buy the traffic in the
first place, I am in the wrong business.
Ok,
then the plan is set. The easier parts of it
has been done with ad placement. Now the hard
part -the writing, design and roll-out of a
network of sites that build organic traffic.
Let
me give this example of what I have in mind:
Let
me use one of our domains and tools as an example.
The tool is ROBO*banner, which I will feature
at www.robobanner.com. Please note that as
of this time I have not setup this site.
My
plan is to write about what robobanner will
do to build traffic for anyone's online site,
product,etc.
Then
I'll place all the text at www.robobanner.com.
Once that is done, I will make sure the links
and text is right and I'll register the site
with a lot of search engines by purchasing
a product with a site registration service.
Once
that is done, I will also place sample robobanners
all over the pages so that people can see what
the product looks like, how it works and what
it will do. Certainly, a picture will speak
a 1000 words or even more.
When
that is done I'll link it to the www.maxsimo.com
site and not take credit for any of the traffic.
I could drive all the traffic generated by
the sites to the corporate account. By doing
that the corporate account becomes a referral
machine and beats everyone at the referral
game.
That
is not my intention. What I will do is to give
as much credit for the referrals to the SELLERS
on our network who are doing actual work. These
sellers are going to be in the STEP 5 or STEP
6 of our network and they will get the benefit
of all the FREE traffic generated by the network
of sites that I create.
I'll
most likely do one or two of the sites. Then
I will hand off the project to a new staff
member who can do the writing and general web
publishing. Remember, with such a site that
is optimized for search engine traffic, the
key is not to have fancy graphics but key,
search engine smart text. That is the key to
getting the traffic needed. I will discuss
many aspects of this in the coming days and
weeks as the business building success continues.
Took
a break and back. Another idea: A mission statement.
I
will do everything I can to make www.maxsimo.com
a success as the CFO and software designer
of the operation. And as a challenge, I will
on a daily do something small to make it a
success. By something small, I mean just revising
text
on a paragraph, a display of a tool or a step
to aide advertising. Every day I will do something
small to add to what I do on a daily basis.
I understand that everything that I do counts.
And I will do everything that I can to make
maxsimo a success.
The
above then is my mission statement. Now on
to what I was doing most of the day. Going
back to the idea of advertising, the network
of sites will then deliver traffic to those
who have done something.
Often
the Internet is full of ideas, projects, business
opportunities, etc., etc. that promise something
for doing basically nothing. I don't believe
in that. I never have. I must say that I have
tried several of them and I know they don't
work. Often because these so called opportunities
tend to be multilevel marketing programs where
a
few
who
got in early
did well and others just fizzled out.
I
didn't want to operate such a fiasco. What
I wanted to do was to operate a network that
benefited people and delivered to them something
tangible and beneficial.
That
I think I have accomplished just that with
maxsimo.com.
I
hope many of the people that join the network
from www.maxsimo.com will see it that way too.
So,
what I have done is to make sure that people
who do work with the network will also benefit
from the free traffic generated by it. To help
that end, the system has what I call a TRAFFIC
MANAGEMENT SYSTEM built into it. What the TSM
does is this: It senses a visitor that is an
"orphan" --there is no referrer with the visitor.
The system then assigns the visitor a STEP
5 or STEP 6 seller from the system to receive
the credit.
The
result is that when you visit the site there
is no trailing ID number at the end of
the URL. However, when you then click on
to another part of the site, the system will
assign
an ID number to you. Then you the visitor
who was an 'orphan' is no longer and is now
credited to a seller that is either
STEP 5 or STEP 6 qualified in the system.
Well
a lot of ideas are now operational and I too
must call it a day. It's been a very long one.
I still have to setup the banners that I designed
during the day.
