DAY 38 UPDATE:
Another bright and early Monday. Top of the morning to you! I am back. Had a good weekend. Hope you did too! It went by very fast.
I spent a few hours on Sunday discussing the control asserted by many governments around the world on their citizens. It was a good conversation. The summary was that radicalism off any kind is not good for society. I noted that there are many civilizations around the world that had glorious histories of discovery, customs and longevity, but why are they suffering now?
The conclusion is that some part of society is controlling them. Thus, the potential of their societies are not realized. I don't want to give examples as this was a private conversation, and I don't want to get into ideas and discussions here that put fear in guests that I entertain.
Next thing, I'll find out that people will be afraid to talk in earnest as they'll find their thoughts intermingled with my blog the next day. Anyway, I'll spare you the details as well, because my focus here is to build the 31-STEP Financial Success Plan.
The reason I brought up the previous dialog is because you'll find out around you plenty of excuses not to do something. That is easy. But what you need to always do is seek the reasons *why* you need to do or continue to seek your success in whatever you have elected to do.
This is not easy. I have been there. Some of my updates detail some of the problems that I have had. Seems like at one time that was a daily issue. Every day something 'popped up' that was going to kill my success.
It's easy to declare it. To say I will do it. It's even easier to give it up. But living it is another completely different endeavor. You'll find internal family pressure. You'll find external family pressure. Etc. Etc.
To make a long story short -You'll find a wall facing you every which way you turn.
That's when you need to look up and smile. Remember, even when you see a rainbow, that may accompany RAIN. But that's OK. Sometimes, that is what you may have to overcome.
The reason you'll then break down your plan into steps is to over come the obstacles. If the wall in front of you is very high, put a ladder next to it with many steps. Each step is then ever closer to making it over the wall.
Now back to the weekend. My wife and I spent a lot of time after the kids were in bed watching TV. But I call watching tv a waste of time. So, I was next to the tv at the computer pluggin away on my tasks. B>) At one point she told me that I needed a way for visitor feed back. I said that was done! with the forum. Yes, a lot got done last week.
Then I was redesigning the REVIEWS AREA. I noted that basically the bookmark list that I keep is a great link list of products, services and websites to review and post for my readers. This is something that I will continue to keep doing for as long as I can, so why not take the book mark list and turn it into an ONLINE REVIEW of RESOURCES. Well I did just that and some. The reviews index or catalog is here.
I aim to review the items in the catalog about two to three times a week and update the list. Whatdayouknow... The list happens to have 31 Categories. Wonder how that happened? Well, anyway, I got done with the list and there were 26 and then I proceed to add some of my favorite subjects and had 31. Then I called it complete, but it took a lot of time and I think I still have some link problems to resolve.
In other activities, I also applied to Google Ad Words on Friday. That was a good thing because I got an email from them saying it will take 1 to 2 days to "approve" P31.COM for their advertising system. I assume that I will need to meet their guidelines.
Then I logged into the Ad Words site and found out that they now say they'll need a week to get the job done. No problem. I am here.
I don't see anything on this site that would "kill it for Ad Sense" so I went ahead with the site updating to accommodate the Google ads.
I should have thought of the idea a while back, but better late than never. Now you'll see the column on the right side of the screen and that will accommodate my DIRECTORY of SUCCESS CATAGORIES and the Google ads. It will also have a Google search box that can search the site for any key words. Of course, any search then is accompanied by more ads from Google.
I like the idea itself because Google now allows me to do what I want --Keep writing my Blog and focus on the primary subject while Google will spider the site, note the content and display appropriate ads for that content.
I have no problem with that.
I also realized that the more pages there are the better my odds of increasing my revenue stream. That gave me a couple of ideas and the best one I have started to implement. My idea is to keep the blog as a day-to-day event and update format. As I have it now, it's going from week to week. That was not a bad decision when I started and the writing was just a bit. Now that I am 'warmed up' and cruising along, I am writing a bit more and feel that I have enough content for a day by day format. I'll make it so! Although, "making it so" will take a week or two, as there are dozens of pages to break down into a daily format.
Now on to what I need to do this week:
ITEM ONE: The NEXT SuperStock site needs a major update. I am waiting after Tuesday to do it as this Tuesday Greenspan will release some notes of his that are going to sway the market up or down. Based on that I will make some adjustments for the next quarter.
As the portfolio is now, I am mostly cash with some put and call options in oil and gas stocks. Not a bad place to be. However, tomorrow all of this will be evaluated and decisions made.
ITEM TWO: The Maxsimo Card Services work with the worlds first global discount card is up and going. There are some modifications to the site and they are well under way. I'll have to spend about 60% of my time at it this and next month and I am sure my work, and that of the programmers, will be done on time. So, that is on-going and going well!
ITEM THREE: It appears that by accident I got the "C" item on the P31.COM 'to do' list completed. Now I am left with site optimization, finding sponsors and doing that pesky task of getting the press releases done as well as finalizing the 100 sponsor list. Not too bad. I think I can get that done. A bit at a time and it will be done by the end of the week.
Ok, once again, a full plate to finish off during the week, but things are going along and I feel good. The sun is out, the air is getting warmer and the flowers are everywhere! This is my kind of weather. It's a bit difficult looking out the window, but I know that in the long run I'll have more time to "smell the flowers"!

I have returned for my evening session. I got a note from Google that the site ads were approved for p31.com. Then I proceeded to the account and got the code. I must say that the setup is very nicely done. I took me longer to decide on the colors, but after that putting the code on the site took about 2 min.
Now the wonderful part is that Google will 'flood' the ads based on key words that are part of the blog, reviews, 31-STEP Financial Plan, etc. Any text on the site will be used by Google to index ads and deliver them to the site.
And it's working.
I would therefore recommend to anyone who wants to generate a revenue from their site to work with AD Sense However, there is a catch! The catch is that traffic is needed for the system to work. In my case I see that traffic is growing nicely and I can take advantage of that by displaying the ads.
That's about it. I'll write a review of the whole Google and Ad Sense process sometime after I see the process work and of course after measuring the results.
