DAY #151

Today is the day. I worked on the Maxsimo Network ideas from 1996 and then by 1999 I managed to put the financing together and formed a corporation to build the network. Then after 5 frustrating years of mediocre custom software I turned to open source MySQL Database and software built for individual functions by other companies.

Just 3 months ago I made the decision to do all the integration of the software myself. Now I am beginning to feel that others also want to "join the party" but first I'll get the network rolling.

Today is November First, and later in the month, close to Thanksgiving I have yet another 30 something birthday and my lone wish is to sit quietly and look back to what I have gotten done.

All these years, all these month and the last few days, I have said "I will", "I am working on it", "I am going to", "I will do it" and from today I start saying "I am doing it", "I am going forward...". After today "I am!"

My original topic of discussion that I had kept moving forward is below:

Over the past 150 days of blogging, I have also come to a startling conclusion about myself: I am too nice of a guy. And I depend too much on numbers --often running numbers 'games' when i need to work on sales.

I didn't want to discuss the above today because I felt it was a bit of a negative statement. Being the first of the month, and the day that I am placing ads to get the Maxsimo Network moving is not the day to look into negative issues. Anyway, I'll discuss it later in the week, as it's very relevant to the issues of success.

Ok, I just moved it to DAY#155... As you may have guessed there are an endless list of topics that I want to write about, but I hold the thoughts to maintain focus.

So, today... Today is THE day. I have the following lined up to get done:

I have to check all the setup pages in the Maxsimo Network's back office area that includes pages for every membership level -from SILVER, GOLD, PLATINUM, PROFESSIONAL, ENTERPRISE and PARAGON -I have to make sure that the network is ready to deliver what the Members want.

Then I want to make one last check of the sign up pages at http://www.maxsimo.net.

Following that I'll place the Ebay ad, perhaps, in about 10 hours. Shortly after that I'll setup the Yahoo and Google ads that I have designed.

All the ads will be routed through a system of tracking so that I can see where the visitors are coming from and what conversion rates are occurring. Obviously, by doing that I know where to concentrate my advertising bucks.

Ok, another thought occurred to me as I went to sleep yesterday and that is the price of the special packages that I am selling. The first 7 of those packages are up for $19,900 each and then the next 20 are for sale for $8,900. Of course, I am selling these packages to people who want to build business credit in their own companies using the cash flow generated by the packages that I am selling.

However, the approach presented a rather interesting problem: The longer I take to sell a package, the larger the month commissions it will be earning when I sell it. Perhaps, it's better explained this way: Each 'package' is an IR position. What I am doing is taking that position, with cash flow and reserving it for someone who wants to build a company around it. So, the monthly deposits for the company are coming from the cash flow created by the Maxsimo Network Account.

Then IF I take longer to sell the packages, the higher the cash flow will be. I then need to ask the question: Why sell it?

The better thing to do is to "merge the account" into the regular corporate cash-flow.

Therefore, I need to set some deadlines: I think the first 6 months of the operation are critical, and therefore that is the time I need the most cash flow. So, I will sell the packages for the first 5 months. Then expect all proceeds of the sales to be "CLOSED" by the first 6 months from today. That means that package sales will go from November 2005 to the end of March 2006. By April's end I'll have all sales proceeds collected and "close" the sales. It does not matter what I have sold as long as a major percentage of the packages are sold and cash is "in hand" for the company.

Alright, now I am "warned up" for the day. I had been using this blog to get my fingers and thoughts moving at the start of the day. Then I drifted off to get my programming and setup done. I had a lot of 6 and 7 day weeks and late nights. Now I am back to a more "normal" routine and you see the results of that --I am blogging more frequently.

Ok, with that thought I need to focus on the tasks at hand today. Got to go! Sam will be back later with some closing thoughts, although I'll share them tomorrow. OUT!
