31 Step Success Building Starting with a PENNY

I originally wanted to discuss the below topic earlier in the week, but at the same time I was moving along my effort launching the Maxsimo Network of services, and I didn't want to introduce a negative issue.

The issue at hand is this:

Over the past 150 days of blogging, I have also come to a startling conclusion about myself: I am too nice of a guy. I have not focused my efforts on selling. I need to work on sales.

Anyway, that is a fact that I need to face. I have been side-stepping the issue. For example, this week I relied on putting several ads in Ebay. While Ebay may be a great place to sell something or run an auction, it clearly is not the best place to insert advertising to launch a network marketing program. Strike ONE.

I better not make the same mistake again. What I need to do is *focus* with a laser-like precision to reach the audience that I am seeking. And currently there are two ways to accomplish that.

ONE: key word advertising. Certainly, someone searching with the key words that I am targeting is a very good candidate.

TWO: build relationships with existing marketing 'gurus' and spread the message using their resources.

Concerning issue one, I have already gotten ready my key word campaign. In a day or two I can launch that part. Concerning issue two, I have only approached one person and that person accepted the offer. The question is "How many more marketing relationships can I start?" And the answer to that is "many more" as I feel that I have a very good, wanted and needed product. Once again, the key to getting subscribers is with laser-like targeting of the right audience.

So far, I have not done that.

Therefore, I need to focus on building joint ventures, building relationships with other marketing sites, companies, etc. I need to focus on finding key leaders who can support the next few months of growth.

IF I cannot get the sales of the 'packages' that I put together to sell to key people that I know and IF I don't have the time to sell to the business credit building audience that I wanted to reach, then my objective should be to reach the key leaders and work with them.

Now that I think about it, I have two key leaders -one very large and another of lesser means who are ready 'jump aboard' and get the ship moving.

Ok, that is settled: I'll work on key relationships and setup joint ventures to get to the first 1,000 paid subscribers that I envisioned.

I suppose one lesson that I have learned from my marketing experiences is that I need to focus on the issues at hand. That is also true with the work I do daily --focus, focus and focus. When I haven't done that, I have paid dearly with lost hours and days of work.

I have picked another day to talk about focus.

I suppose adhering to the idea of today, my focus needs to remain on the marketing aspects that I need to stick to to make this a great success.

The question is WHO do I want to reach? And the answer is a core group of multilevel/business opportunity marketing types.

Where can I find them? And the answer is by searching several key words and phrases on Google, MSN and Yahoo.

What can I tell them? What can I say to them to start working with me? Offer them a free position. Offer them a reserved position. Offer them an opportunity to joint venture and expose one or all of their products/services.

How can I get started? Right now. Let's put down the steps.

First look at the key words that I need to focus on --I'll search the "key word search tool" via Google. I have not linked to this directly because I have learned not to link out to sites, as they often change their page/article/resource locations and suddenly I have a "broken link". So, I am now advising you to just search "key word search tool" or "Yahoo key word research tool" --well, before I tell you more, I just tested what you need to search. The exact phrase is "keyword selector tool" at Google. I think the first or second listing in the organic search results leads you to where you can research key words at Overture, which is now a Yahoo property.

What is the next step?

My next step is to create a list of prospective joint venture partners. I would like to eventually have about 100 such 'partners', but to start off with I'll just be happy working with 20 such people.

So, let me pull my key word list that I put together a few days back. Then search for people "in the business" that I can work with. Then offer then a "free upgrade", a "free setup", reserved position, etc. to get the relationship going. I'll also need to complete about 10 advertising creative (banners, text ads, etc.) that can be used everywhere for display.

So, I have JV partners, ad creative. What more? I think the single most important item is to have several articles about the project that the webmaster or "guru" who I am doing the JV partner with can use to post on their web site.
