DAY # 147
Update: Wednesday, 26-Oct-2005 2:27 PM
Time is flying as I do all that is necessary to launch the masximo network of sites that include maxsimo.net, revenuecheck.com and other projects that I have worked on.
While taking care of the essential, I have followed one of the must-obey rules of advertising and that is to track where visitors are coming from and judge the effectiveness of various advertising. Back in July of this year I spent $200 advertising in an online promotional ezine that I get on a daily basis. The tracking program that I used reported that over 1,800 people visited maxsimo.com from the advertising, but *none* signed up to the free program that I was advertising.
How could that happen? Usually, I can expect a respectable 1 in 100 or in this case 1 in 500. BUT *nothing* -- How can that be?
Well, a close inspection of the traffic logs reveal that most of the "hits" came from the same domain name. In fact, the same URL. I then took a moment to fisit the URL and to my horror I think it was just an automated traffic generating script. That was it.
Now the question is how do you spot these problems? How do you keep one eye on watching the effectiveness of the advertising and the bottom line? How can that be done?
The answer is by using a program like AD WATCHER, which I have profiled below. I like the program so much that I made a 'deal' with the developer to include it as part of the Maxsimo Network's GOLD Membership services.
Let me now review some of the benefits of the AD WATCHER program:

IN OTHER NEWS...
It has been a long and grueling several months. Over the past 4 weeks I have setup the Maxsimo Network and will be launching that with a marketing blitz in the coming weeks. The effort is just a warm-up as this is not the best of times to get such projects going. It's nearly Thanksgiving and Christmas is just around the corner.
However, I feel that this is the best time to launch my project and get things warmed up. Then in the winter, after the holidays, I can turn up the advertising and get the network growing very fast. My goal is to hit the first 10,000 Independent Representatives during the first quarter of 2006. Then by the summer I hope to have around 25,000 and by the end of the year a total of 50,000. Of all these IR's as I call them, I expect abut 12 percent to "upgrade" to at least the GOLD Membership.
None of this is going to be easy, but I am confiden that with seveal free applications that I have designed and the leading product such as the Maxsimo Card™ paving the way, I can get this accomplished.
I have also done some extensive work on the p31 blog project. I have noticed that I have a lot of broken links and the part that I started reviewing on the site was better put as part of the pages. Lastly, I wanted to create a mall and then ended up going with the CLICKBANK Mall. You can see many of the products and services that I feature as part of the resources from this area.
As for the broken links, I'll need to go over the entire site and remove external links. I liked to pages at CNN and BBC only to find out that the pages are moved or deleted. The result is that I end up displaying a "404 Error" --no page found or some other error message.
These no point in leaving the door open to such a problem, so I made a decision to put everything on this site, and very little linking to outside content.
Ok, next up: I have to discuss some of the site improvements that I have made, and the progress around the Maxsimo Network.
Well, 'til then, Sam out...
