Then on Sunday, not much. Monday too --just looking ahead. I spent some time answering questions about the few accounts that I wanted to manage. But then Monday night all came to a rather abrupt end.

Back in July of this year I had made a very trusty judgment with a software package called WILDFIRE (It's a network marketing/MLM type of software package) that is suppose to run all aspects of the Representative management. From the companies web site, I downloaded a demo, which worked on my workstation. The two individuals at Wildfire I've known since 1993, and used the "old world" part of the software twice.

However, in the demo that I downloaded, a major part of it was missing. That part was the Internet side of it. Realizing that they may not want me to be "up and running" with that and a demo locally, I gave "my trust" and ordered the software with a 4-month term. The software was $10,000.00.

All of it came on time. Then I had a professional IT Consultant from a local company help with the Windows Server 2003 setup and configuration. Actually, the network and security aspect of it. He checked that out and got the workstations working with the server.

At this point Wildfire was 'working', but I kept running into problems with the Internet side of it. There were error after error. The Rep site didn't show up.

I have VOLUMES to DISCUSS about WILDFIRE and I will do so in two ways: One in my general discussions about "SUCCESS", "TRUST" and "general business ethics" and another via a special report about SOFTWARE REVIEW on what works --I'll have an extensive write-up about Wildfire MLM software. I am starting this discussion for two reasons: 1> Wildfire has refused to refund the company's money. 2> Trust was broken -- between Investors and Representative that trusted me to deliver, I am sitting in the middle of a MAJOR PROBLEM that I have to RESOLVE TODAY -- On my birthday. Got to do what you've got to do.

I have said in the past that often the problem is not an issue with software but HOW the company resolves it. Stuff happens. I patiently waited and waited to see how Wildfire's 3-person team would resolve my issues. Time after time I had to "kiss ass" to the team and practically beg to help me. Yesterday, I snapped. I said "That's it" after they checked the wrong issue about 6 times and gave the same answer --Then asked me to run my own test. Right. Well, there's a lot more to come about this. But, I just wanted to get the discussion started. Wildfire presented a case of "What NOT to DO to the CUSTOMER" from all points of view, as taught by any business school. There's a lot for me to learn.

Carpe Diem. Hope you're off to a great start. I will look for the silver lining in all this. As I have said in the past, when ONE DOOR closes, look very, very carefully and be "pro-active" (& positive) and soon TWO OTHER DOORS will open. Sam out, and back to work...
