STAFF NEWSLETTER DRAFT...
OLD SETUP -- MAKING it BETTER:
All the services in the membership area will have their final 2.0 updates done this month. Most of these updates are very minor --mostly text changes. That will free us to work on 3.0 updates that will be made in Q1 of 2007.
The major update that has to be done next week is the new Representative referral area. This has to be done by Wednesday as the Wildfire Software failed our expectations. Well, it didn't work. The email function never worked.
The 4th and the 5th will be focused on the new site to replicate and build referrals. At the end of the 5th the old database needs to be uploaded.
The last feature that I need is to be able to read the database with the Representative details and be able to email lessons, one day at a time.
NEW STUFF -- MAKING SURE the TESTING and IMPLEMENTATION is PERFECT
Everything that we have working has to be tested to meet the demands that will be imposed from January to June. Our system will take on about 10,000 representatives and all aspects of it need to handle that onslaught of Reps. It's anyone guess how many Members we'll have. At intervals of 25,000 we'll add another server to the network.
SOME NEW IDEAS
We need to look closely at the flow of users. Mainly new Representatives, Members, Email Subscribers, etc.
For example, when a new representative signs up, we need to ask them IF they'd like to become a Member.
When a new Member signs up, we need to ask them IF they'd like to become a Representative.
At every point possible we need to *cross sell* all parts of the network.
HOLIDAY TIMES
We are bringing success to many web site owners. We need to also enjoy the success of our work and take the time between Christmas and New Years on an "as needed basis" where only vital elements are resolved.
-------------
Every month I have managed to share my thoughts and this month I just plain forgot to do it. Better late than never... Anyway, these are open thoughts that address some of the items that we've got to finish or simply make a little better on the network.
Ok, with that thought I am going to take care of tomorrow's update. It's nearly Sunday. Sam out. Carpe Diem.
