DAY # 210
UPDATE: Tuesday, 03-Jan-2006 3:13 PM
Yesterday, the 2nd of January was our launch date. The server was down well over 8 hours. Today the server is down again. I called a partner of the company and said that we need to switch servers and software immediately.
Last month a decision was made to switch over the month of January --slowly. Step by step. However, doing that will "take us 100% out of business". NicPlex, the company behind the Plexum software is making sure of that day by day. They have made it an effort to do what they are doing. There is no other way for me to explain how a "Plexum optimized server" that is suppose to help us "build momentum and a great big company" as their web site proclaims is doing exactly the opposite.
The course of events is "gross negligence" and I will go the next step to make sure NicPlex and Plexum Software is covering our losses.
The problem is that the office computer setup is not ready to handle the new software and hosting using Windows 2003 Server. I have to now figure out a way to expedite the process and resolve this issue. We cannot go more than a week with this type of environment.
I had a conversation with NicPlex staff today, and the technician I chatted with said "stuff happen" and that is how he explained what has happened to us. Now I get a lengthy apology and a statement that they will move the server to a more "reliable" provider who will guarantee 99.9% uptime.
Well, all of that is *too late* for what happened to Maxsimo.NET and I'll now move to STEP TWO to get our funds recovered and move the the new software.
I've got a lot to do. Sam out.
