DAY # 211
UPDATE: Wednesday, 04-Jan-2006 9:08 PM
The past few days I have spent a bit of time planning the coming weeks. I also worked on what I call my.biig.net, which is a "Start Page" --it is a page that will open when users start their browser. All the user has to do is take the code generated by the system and place it in, for example, using IE 6.x (Internet Explorer) by going to TOOLS >> Internet Options at the bottom >> Then "Home Page" is set to the URL given by the system.
The admin area allows a few more options. It will allow the user to insert 14 other URLS into the start page. For example, the URL for news, a broker, a Maxsimo.NET site for example can be inserted. You can even enter this site. B>)
Anyway, the users benefit when they click on ads that are ones that they have requested to see based on type and key words. When an ad is clicked, the user will earn points based on the ads "Member Type" --the higher the member type, the more points are earned for clicking it and doing a few other activities at the site that the user views.
Then there is another benefit --the ads will also be circulated as part of ROBObanner.NET. The robobanner.com site will show what you can see at the site at this time. However, via the .NET part of robobanner, the IRs will be able to display TEXT ONLY ads that are from biig.NET.
What this allows is for the maximum exposure of all the ads.
Now to the point system aspect. Much of the network can be used by members based on the Membership Type. However, at times when a Member needs added services they can use "points" that they have "banked" to accomplish that task. The member does not have to pay for an added service all the time. This is another way the costs are kept down.
Now, IF you are wondering how a member will earn the points, the "Start Page" is such a place where points are 'racked up'.
KEY WORD LOCK:
Another key idea that I mentioned a while back was KEY WORD LOCK. The idea behind it is to allow Members to "lock in the key words" that they want to manage in the network and want to benefit from.
Let's say that you are an aquarium dealer in Columbus, Ohio. Obviously you want to maintain the KEY WORDS "freshwater aquarium" on the network and more importantly, since the store is a WALK IN type and does not ship products all over the country, the owner will also want to have the key words locked for location --Columbus, Ohio, United States.
However, IF the store happens to manage a web site that ships all things AQUARIUM all over the country, then the location is "NATIONWIDE" --not just limited to the local area, and then that need has to be taken into account.
Furthermore, I plan to offer two types of KEY WORDS that can be LOCKED. The first is based on what a Member feels is a key word phrase that will make them money or by the type of business that they are working. The second set of key words will be a key word phrase that is a "passion for the member". In this case it can be a set of key words/phrases that one can manage for the 'rest of their life' because it interest them.
In my case I can easily pick a key word phrase related to tropical freshwater aquarium for example and manage that part of the network for a long time.
Anyway, this is something that the member needs to think of very hard and long because once that decision is made, the member will have to stick to that decision for a long time.
I've got to end my discussion abruptly because after going 100% for three weeks my "system" is breaking down. I am a bit ill. And I think the best remedy is sleep. Got to go. Carpe Diem, Sam.
