Today I got back to basics after spending a lot of time getting the start up pages of KEY WORD LOCK and BIIG.COM moving.

Back to basics is about writing a paper to let our Members know what works on the Internet. In this particular paper, it is about the finer aspects of using a PARTNERSHIP model to work on the 'Net.

Here is my start up paragraph:

WHAT WORKS while building your Internet Business Success

PARTNERSHIPS

IDEA: Notice some of the largest Internet successes from Yahoo® to Google™, and most of Corporate America's FORTUNE 500® are created by partners?

In today's very sophisticated business and technology world it is very difficult to "know it all" while building a complex business.

From there I proceeded to make sure that I covered all the topics from the advantage of partnerships to why I felt that the particular model was not taken advantage of more often.

I am ready to pass off the programming to others while I focus on the writing and setup issues for the network. I know that growth will take off starting in a few days with some of the promoters and our own advertising kicking in. I have predicted that the network will grow beyond a 1,000 IR's by the end of this month and reach about 20,000 this summer.

I have a lot of planning involved between now and just this summer and I want to stay on top of things.

I suppose I also didn't make a list of things that I wanted to get done in February. There's no list, as I have a lot of the same items left from the January list. It seems a bit like I spent a good part of January recovering from what I endured in December. All of it carried over to the first two weeks of January and then a third week recovering. I don't want to sit here and make excuses, but I think I worked way too many hours on getting things done.

Now I am looking over what I got done, and it seems that I need to focus further, and not get distracted by some of the issues that I have had to deal with. For example, I had to deal with the server going down. Now the programmers who manage the program that manages the back office moved it to a four processor server. Problem was solved.

From all the testing that was involved in the December period, this was the most pressing issue. Other than that, I don't think there was anything remotely close to disturbing me.

Now I'll pull up the January list --around day 209... Here is the LIST:

In order to accomplish that, I will do the following during the month of January. Today is the launch, but the entire month of January will be used to get all of our operations moving. They include:

A> Complete a report regarding marketing the network, offering free services such as AffiliateMINT.COM and the Clickbank Mall. I need to show all the IRs how powerful this concept is and what it can do for them. I also know that as a free service, they may not value it, but that is a major mistake.

>> UPDATE: Part of the JUST START manual that is mostly done.

B> Complete Ad Materials --banners, text ads and publish it in the Quick Start report. Most of the QUICK START REPORT is done. However, I need to go over it several times and make sure that what I am advising the IR do in the first 90 days will work nicely and get their success growing.

>> UPDATE: None of the items are done. This is a must add to the network.

C> Get biig.com and the KEY WORD LOCK feature operational as soon as possible. I have setup the system so that IRs have to pick a set of key words/phrase to manage in the system. Once they do that, the IR will need to go into admin and manage different aspects of the phrase. For example, they need to approve links, accept advertising and help build Member success.

>> UPDATE: Nearly complete. I hope that IR's are able to catalog there KEY WORDS and then work toward managing them from the ADMIN area.

D> Get Maxsimo.com and the Merchant questionnaire operational. In order to get the Global Discount Card working, I need to ask the right questions from the Merchants that are making offers. This questionnaire is the start of that process. When I ask the right questions, it is far easier for the card using members to find savings.

>> UPDATE: Using notes from several years I finalized these questions while on a hospital bed. I got a bored I guess and had to do something. Anyway, it's done and I now need to ask the questions and store the answers in a database.

E> Get biig.net operational. The site biig.net is suppose to deliver a system that generates a lot of traffic for Members. I will work on debuting this system before the end of the month.

>> UPDATE: Done!

F> Make improvements to the AffiliateMINT.com site. I 'look and feel' is functional now, but I would like to clean up the text and give it a fresh look.

>> UPDATE: Done once and needs to be done again.

G> Once all of the above are done, improve the Maxsimo.NET referral site. I have edited the text on two occasions. I will do it again to get the 'final' version published. I put that in quotes because there should always be room for improvement.

>> UPDATE: I have this planned for tomorrow. There is a major move this weekend with a lot of visitors coming to the site. I 'll look over all of the sign up site at Maxsimo.NET. I really need to spend some time to make sure of the following: Is the sign up page the best it can be? IF those pages can be improved to sign up 2 more people per 100 visitors, I need to make that change. This is vital. And I owe the best that I can do for the IRs.

H> Contact list of "large internet" promoters on behalf of some key IRs that have trusted me. I have had a few goals with each of the IRs that I am helping. I need to evaluate that I am on track to delivering what I have promised or set as a goal.

>>UPDATE: I actually did this earlier this week. However, my contact via email to offer them a JV partnership didn't result in any contacts. It was a disappointment, especially after writing to around 100 of them, but that's OK. They will come around and benefit current IR in a year or two as our tools expand and mature.

I> Continue operations to convert our IR management programs to the new software running on Windows Server.

>> UPDATE: In March. At this time the server/program issues are resolved and I need to maximize what I have.

J> Get newspaper advertising moving along. From my 14 years of network marketing experience I know of 3 places that reach the target market better than anything else. I will during the month setup all of these advertising locations to get the network moving rapidly. I am still targeting around 100,000 members during this year. I think that is a realistic goal and one that would make many of our IRs very successful.

>> UPDATE: Execution in February. I have an updated list of paper/magazine based places to advertise.

K> Get newspaper network advertising moving along. In the USA, there is a network of 6,000 small-town newspapers that reach millions of monthly readers. I will post an ad in these newspapers advertising for IRs and then continue to advertise for members. I think a good size ad will generate a few hundred sign ups on a monthly basis and be a good recruiter of IRs for our CO-OP program.

>> UPDATE: March. Take the same ads from above and place in the newspaper network.

L> Office area update, equipment update. I need to update our security at the office so that data is backed up to my home network on a daily basis and then backed up again to another secure back-up location. I have been lucky when it comes to data loss simply because I have several hard drives that seem to contain copies of all the data I have. All of my files are in "My Documents" and all of the programs that are installed have their working files in the same folder. And that folder is backed up for fire, flood and worst of all, theft.

Once all of this is updated, I need to run a scenario of what I'd do IF their was a disaster.

>> UPDATE: This is in progress and will take about 6 months to complete 100%.

M> I need a couple of days off.

>> UPDATE: I was forced to take the days off. It was not a good way to do it, but now I have to begin an exercise program, lose about 18 pounds that I have put on since last summer and get in great shape. I have to.

Well that about wraps it up. The items not done will be moved to this month, and I'll work on it, and ad items that need to be done soon. Then I can categorize them based on urgency and importance.
