DAY # 238
UPDATE: Tuesday, 14-Feb-2006 11:13 AM
Today is the day that I am suppose to debut the biig.com area where KEY WORD LOCK can be searched and setup.
I still don't have the many pages in .PHP code done. When I started on the project I had a php/MySQL database management program setup. I narrowed down my problems to it last week, and now I have two new programs that are doing a lot better.
I am still testing and I hope in the coming hours to finish the work. It is a lot of work, and I am to make sure that I have covered all aspects of it before I pass the work on to professionals.
Well, Happy Valentines Day! I was still in bed when I got a gift of a digital pedometer to keep track of the number of steps that I take in a day. (I did get the standard roses yesterday, a day ahead. Not as thoughtful as I could have been, but still enough to 'get by' today) Between the office and dropping off kids at school and my daily walk, I had hoped to cover at least 5,000 steps in a day. I think the recommended daily count of steps was 10,000 but I don't see myself doing that more than 2 days a week. Since I don't have a dog, that amount seems much too far.
I think the pedometer is just the first step. Next will be a RFID (radio frequency id) that monitors everything about me and reports to my doctor and insurance company daily what I am doing. I suppose IF I am not doing enough, I'll get a call to "shape up" and get moving OR...
Well, let me stop there with that.
I suppose today is just as good a day to talk about the coming months in my life on the personal side. I had a lot of problems in December because we are expecting our third child in July of 2006. In December I was carrying the entire load of running the household, caring for kids at home from school holidays, and getting my full-time work done because my wife was ill. I think now my blog updates in December should be in perspective.
It took me nearly the entire month of January to recover from the entire ordeal, but now I feel up to getting the tasks at hand done. And are there tasks. I think by the end of February I will be completely caught up.
I think that the deadline of having things running rather smoothly and getting some time off in July is a good goal. I hope by then staff are familiar with operations and programming does not have to be dealt with on a daily basis. I hope. Anyway, I have about 5 more months to go before all of this will come crashing down on me once again. I am a veteran of two births, so, dealing with a third should not be a problem. Unless. Unless it's a GIRL... Then I am afraid that I will be forgotten, as that is what my wife has all her hops riding on.
Well, duplication in life is going well. Let me now get back to duplication and growth of the network. It seems that each week one more advertising element is kicking in and that should wake up a large core of the organization that has signed up and then forgotten a bit of what they have done.
Furthermore, I am sure that biig.com will be operational to a certain degree that another set of IR's will be motivated enough to work on it and that too will get a good number of IR's motivated. I think I need to stop at this point and make sure that get's done. Got to go! Carpe Diem, Sam.
