DAY # 244
UPDATE: Tuesday, 21-Feb-2006 12:03 PM
Another day working on the needs of Maxsimo.NET and getting ready for several announcements by this weekend. I want to introduce the KEY WORD LOCK feature and biig.com to IRs.
Usually, the weekend e-mails which I have been sending every other week are a good way to 'tell the field'. Then a lot of activity transpires over the weekend. However, I have also wanted to wait until there is great news, which I think that I can present this weekend.
Now I would like to switch the top to search engine optimization.
One of the trends I have seen is that people are finding the site from various searches from many different countries. Well, I am not going to do anything to change my bogging habits for just that... I'll just keep writing and following up on what I am doing --Just my thoughts and actions.
But what I can do is add a feature where people can visit any one of the pages and make comments. And any comment that I approve, from any of the pages, I will then allow it to become part of the page.
I don't think designing a database for this is a problem. However, I don't think I can then use the database information to write .HTML files. I will have to enable the site to run in .PHP using the output data from the DB. That would mean a complete conversion of the site from HTML to PHP. OK, on second thought, that idea is OUT! No way am I going to go over about 400 pages of publishing and convert the pages.
What else can I do? The objective is to post current comments on the pages, update the page and post an updated time.
So, I'll just "file" the idea in the back of my head and I am sure sometime in the near future I'll run into an elegant solution.
Speaking of search engines, I have also found out that articles with a word count of 400 to 600 are best used to attract visitors. This information comes from an industry veteran who has over 500 web sites that display Google Adwords. He basically earns a few dollars a week from each site and that "pays the mortgage" as he sees.
I have also had very good results with the short articles. I had one of the affiliates post the articles on a few dozen sites and I see that he gets frequent visitors from those efforts. I have been writing articles for a long time, but now I think what I can do is take some of the older ones and "cut and shape" them into more shorter articles and then have our affiliates post them all our article sites.
And then comes the trafficramp.com site which I have to keep updating with the best of the traffic generating tools and services that I can find.
Well all of this is a lot of work, and then again, that is what it takes to earn a good income -- a lot of work! Speaking of which I have to get to just that. Carpe Diem. Sam.
