But what has led to the growth of the traffic? What is causing the search engines to take notice? All are good questions, which every Entrepreneur needs to know the answer!
Let me get to just that:
First of all there is shear mass at the site. Much, much more than when I concluded 'YEAR ONE' last fall. In the past year the updates were frequent and the content kept coming.
Then I cleaned up the pages and put several of Google's tools to use to help determine the content on each page. Now the ads are much more in tune with the pages that are published.
Now the pace is picking up as the following happens:
Google is delivering more targeted ads to the content. I have of course taken action to spend at least most of the time here on one topic as oppose to jumping around several each day.
But, perhaps, the most traffic is coming from the publications and the work links that are pointing back to this site from Maxsimo.NET and the soon-to-be released "WHAT WORKS Manual" that will be uploaded to the Member area in the coming days. What all this is doing is making this site and the network "sticky" and people keep coming back to it to check this and that out.
As I have said in one of my reports, the Affiliate program is creating great traffic and an income. The writing itself is getting the attention of various search engines. The reports and each page that I consider a "mini-report" is getting cataloged all over the web. Lastly, the way that I have setup the pages, where there is "fresh" content often is also upping the importance of the sites content. Certainly, the search engines can see that I am regularly updating the sites pages. I suppose the little item at the bottom that displays a quote each time on a random basis also helps out the situation.
In summary, the writing, the content, the ideas, the "buzz" around the entire project is creating the repeat visitors that I'll need to build the steady steam of visitors that I'll need to leap to the next step.
Here is what I see happening as traffic grows:
1> Instead of fighting to search engine optimize this site, which does not really have a domain name for that purpose or content that is narrowly focused, I have split up the task to two other sites:
A> The first is business credit building (BCB) at http://www.businesscreditbuilding.com >> which I will be upgrading with more content for business credit building and Google's ads. I will use the same Google Adsense account that I have now, but create a "channel" that is dedicated to BCB. Then I will use the same techniques that are sending very focused ads to this site, and have them delivered to the BCB site.
B> The second site is the Traffic Ramp at http://www.trafficramp.com >> I will do the same at the Traffic Ramp and create areas for Google Ads with content. I will also feature product after product that helps everyone build their web sites and online businesses. Of course, many aspects of Maxsimo.NET will be featured there. Both sites will be part of the Maxsimo.NET CO-OP solution to help IRs sponsor and build their network.
C> The third site is NEXT SUPER STOCK at http://www.nextsuperstock.com >> I plan to do the same on the site with a total make-over, while I test some new material (content) on the site that should help with search engines.
I don't know how long all this will take, but I think another 3 to 4 months for sure. Perhaps, I can concentrate on BCB, since it's the most complete, while leaving NEXT Super Stock to the very last.
2> Now to the last part of this discussion -- I plan to use SEO software to carefully optimize the sites so that the major search engines take notice. I think between the sites that should nicely round out the Google Adwords income. I am currently testing a search engine software and I'll review that software at a later day on the blog.
Anyway, the point is that I don't want to fight the current --I just want to "go with the flow" and keep expanding on what has worked. If this site is NOT the best for search engines, then why bother making it one? Just expand to the other domains, be more selective, exploit a niche, and get the job done. However, p31.com is a great place to expend and building the buzz using traditional media. I will exploit that idea when the STEPS have reached around 24, 25 or 26 when things get more interesting and people will take the project a little more seriously. I suppose around 500 or even 600 DAYS of UPDATES will not hurt either.
Now on to this week: It's a very busy week addressing upgrades to Maxsimo.NET. I'll complete all of them in a week. The process has started...
The upgrades are mainly publishing the work that I have done on the WHAT WORKS Manual, the Maxsimo.com database and finally the daily activities around biig.com.
Now all this may seem like a lot of work, but addressing one thing that I have learned from my daily blogs x nearly 300 updates is that when one has razor sharp focus all of this can get done. And I can provide daily proof of that, here and the other network sites that I have worked on. Ok, so it helps having a staff but their work is mainly on the technical end, and rarely on the writing. I have done just about all the writing for the network.
My thoughts are over. Hope you'll have a good weekend. I'll update again as I continue the discussion. Carpe Diem, Sam.
