So, the growth has been strictly from the search engines and my work --word-of-mouth --via the publications that mainly bring IRs to the site. I don't expect a serious acceleration in the traffic flow until I start to talk about financial strategy and get to around STEP 25+. I think then people will start to take notice. If I don't get that, I'll start to release a STOCK of THE MONTH via a press release. Those things really get looked at by readers.

MY "rough" TRAFFIC DETAILS:

In all the numbers that pop up, the key ones that I focus on a monthly basis are "visits" and "sites". As I write this note the visits = 77 for the month of March and the sites = 598. The reason that I focus on these is because one (visits) tells me the number of human or robot visitors to the site during a 24-hour period. This number was at 6 the first month I got going! And since then it has steadily climbed. I expect it to be near 700 per DAY by the end of the day, as I get into more of a financial discussion. We'll see. At this time it's merely a swag --a smart, wild ass guess at what will happen. Or just my wishful thinking.

But, I must stress that after being here around 600 hours over nearly 2 years, I can say that.

The reason I have also focused on the "sites" number is because that reflects the number of places people or robots are coming from. One look at the graph shows that things spiked in December, which was my "month out of hell" for reasons that I discussed back then. I think the number are a mere anomaly --I might have uploaded something large to the domain or done something weird. I was so busy and so sleep deprived, I cannot remember. Anyway, the data is just a glitch and then after my "bump" in the road, the number went down in January and February. Well, February was short a few days, but take a look at the "sites" which was the highest. Then this month.

From the short study of the graphs, and number what you are seeing is this: The importance to the web site's traffic of reciprocal links. There are countless links all over the Internet pointing back to this site from various sites. They could be from search engines, other blogs, from blogs that I have visited and left my "foot print". I usually sign a note by saying "Webmaster*SAM from http://p31.com -- A search for Excellence." That short URL then points various things back to P31.COM.

This count keeps increasing and by using various methods I'll keep making it go up and up. I hope this month it will surpass 650. I think with 3 days of records to go before the end of the month, that is a possibility.

There are tons of ways to get reciprocal links back to this site and I will discuss more of this aspect in the coming days. Perhaps, after the month, I can look at the number with less hope and more reality. {B>)
