Then using some of the sites that I had developed for my "day job" (building Maxsimo.NET) I promoted them to build more STEPS. Then for more than 8 months I was stuck at STEP 12. After Maxsimo.NET got going I built a couple of more steps.
Life, success, the journey itself, is like that. But what has worked with me and will work with just about everyone reading this is: The systematic breaking down of a STEP. In every STEP I have dozens of "mini-steps" with ideas, plans, etc. to overcome the obstacles and resolve the STEP --going on to the next. In fact, as I write this, I have consumed two large notebooks and one large binder which holds my daily TO DO LIST. Everything that I think of and want to do to improve this site and those of the network are written down and planned. After only very careful consideration do they get sent to the programmers.
Again, I am drifting from the main discussion. Once you get a hold of your success building formula, the formula will lead you to one thing!
THE FEELING of SUCCESS:
It's not easy to come by, but as the sports stars and just about all the "stars" in general know, it's a very hard climb to the top. And once you get there, its just one or two missteps from climbing down. Yet the reason we all strive to be there is that the feeling of a winner, the feeling of success, once attained is "pure bliss" and a "wonderful feeling" to be addicted to.
Now the last thought here is a rather philosophical one. I once watched an interview with a Yogi somewhere in northern India, who had no possessions, depending on visitors to a temple for his food, was in his mid-80's, and as the interview proceeded it was quiet apparent the man was in a "blissful" state of mind. However, you and I are very much part of modern day reality -a mortgage, car or two, utility bills, insurance premiums and who knows what else --we have a different reality to face. Either way, for us, we need to keep in mind "WHY" we are tying to attain this "feeling of success" and all that goes with it. In my case, I know.
I bring up this point because I stop very often my step building to live life as much as I can. There are something that while working on building "success" are just priceless to put aside. And in my case, I have a few of those reasons to "step back" and take in a breather. Well, at this time those reasons have gone to sleep, so, I am here typing away.
My last thought on this for now is that all this is a journey to be enjoyed with everyone around you. I hope that your pursuit of success enables you to experience and participate with more of the reasons that bring you joy and happiness. With that I end my weekend. Now back to some planning for the coming week. Sam out. Carpe Diem.
Oh, yeah, I did forget something: When I said "How I Legally Consume COKE, SPEED and GRASS Everyday, and How YOU Can TOO" here is what I really meant. Oh, yes, I have a Coke Cola drink occasionally. Since stopping my riding a Honda Saber 1,200 cc street bike back in my college days, I have kept the speed "out of my life style". Glad I survived those days. And grass --well, I'm already high on life!
