DAY # 295 : Revenue

Today a discussion about revenue. No matter what is done, no matter how passionate one is about their online endeavor, sooner or later, there is the "In-your-face realization" regarding revenue.

I have from time to time avoided it and looked at the long-term business model. Well, it's not done too well for one reason. I needed to devise a way to make sure that Representatives who begin start earning commissions very quickly. In my case there are two areas of revenue that kept me thinking for the past 48 hours.

The first is the revenue model for p31.com using Google. It's not great. However, after putting Google ads on a test site I found out why. The test site is highly targeted at a niche market and Google like the visitors to it. Just hours after putting Google Adsense on it, the "channel" that I setup to monitor the results in the Adsense account started reporting revenue. The bottom line is that I need to focus several sites that are part of the network to do the same. Otherwise, I am just wasting time. Ok, that was the easy part.

MOTIVATING REPRESENTATIVES

There's nothing like income to motivate our representatives. When I first setup the network I was completely focused on the product. Now that part of the work is progressing "automatically" and soon only programmers will handle many parts of it. I don't have to be involved in the technical aspect as much as I am now.

But, still I have no time to rest. What is vital now is to setup a method where our Representatives are earning "right off the bat" when they start. I think it's vital that during the first 30 days the serious Representatives are handed a good check for their work. That will ensure that more and more of the same success building will get done.

There is something about pure hard cash to motivate everyone. Certainly, I am one of them. If I don't have the cash at the end of a project or after the vision is implemented, then my motivation sinks. That too is happening with our Representatives. In fairness, I have to say that I have waited to make sure the product was doing well. And it is. Now I need to implement a system, a method --what ever you want to call it to "turbo charge" the commissions. In a way I have already started that process by increasing prices for the membership and using that to pay more commissions. I have also tested a site that was referring people to the network very well. Then I got the idea to use voice to "reach out to the potential" referrals. So, the implementation has already started.

I suppose what is in store this week is the immediate implementation of it. I will contact around 10 Representatives personally and share the plan. Then I'll immediately work with them to launch the site.

Here are the objectives:

1> Implement the idea that with one sale the Representative earn's $400.00. Enable the Representative to earn that amount as often as then can. If they are advertising well, then they should be able to do it each day.

2> Update the marketing site using all the techniques that I have proven from the test site. Then add voice.

3> Test again this week.

4> Wrap up the entire new system and get it into the hands of the current Representatives. One note: It will not be available to the Representatives who have joined for free.

Now time to put the plan on paper and get it going as soon as tomorrow. I had said a while ago that I didn't want to do such a "thing" as increase the cost of going in the Maxsimo.network, but the bottom line is that I SHOULD NOT ARGUE with WHAT WORKS. After all, I have taken several years of my life to research what works online and then turning around and NOT implementing what I know? Not smart.

I need to do better. I'll start now. Carpe Diem. Indeed. Sam out.
