also vital for any one doing business online as well as any webmaster. So, I take the time to write about it and give it a rating.
Today, I am stuck here with one-eye on CSI, a mouth full of popcorn and a pregnant wife who eats, watches TV most of the time and drinks juices all the time. Since I am trying not to look pregnant, I am avoiding as much as I can on the food end, but now I've got to keep the popcorn smell off the keys. As I have written in the past, the TV is a vast wasteland, and often eliminating it gives the time needed to run an online business, part-time as a home based business.
Anyway, back to the main topic --the vital resource: Cute PDF Writer does a great job with publishing Word files and many other types of files as PDFs. If you are wondering what a PDF is, then take a look here... >> There is not much more that I can say about the product --it does exactly what its suppose to do. I think a quick visit to the site and a download of the easy-to-install product. Put it to work on all the PDF type files that you need.
ANOTHER FREE PRODUCT that WORKS GREAT:

PRODUCT: OPERA Browser 8.5
LOCATION: Free download from http://www.opera.com >>
Often I test products on my home computer, and one item that I just installed in it is called OPERA. It's actually a free browser that you can get from http://www.opera.com >>
So, what's great about the OPERA browser?
First of all it's fast! The pages that I visit come up much faster than when I was using I.E. 6.x that I have been using since I dropped Netscape about 10 years ago.
I should also point out that I made the change because I got tired of all the problems that kept getting on my PC from web sites. In the last episode, I had several worms or trojans that 'hijacked' my pc for a few days. I had to finally install two new programs from PC TOOLS (that I evaluated a few weeks ago) and got back on my chair. I say that because I was under the desk fixing things for a while.
Now I am using IE for the few sites that are work related and book marked. I'll never go to unknown sites using IE. In this episode, the use of Microsoft Anti-Virus software proved worthless. I like several MicroSoft products and would not live without them, but in this case, I've got to call it like I saw it --what I had installed did not do the job.
Off topic again --back to OPERA! The new browser was a snap to install and has an import feature that allowed me to "port" over the bookmarks from IE.
Opera already has several features that are planned to be released with the next version of IE --7.x, which is do out soon. The feature that I like best in Opera so far is the TABED surfing feature where several "windows" of the browser can be opened within one running open browser window allowing me to "tab" between several pages on one screen. On IE, the way one did this was to click at the bottom open windows bar, but in Opera it is right above the URL display area, and easy to see and navigate, tab by tab.
Lastly, from what I have heard and read about, Opera is also very secure when visiting unknown sites that tend to deposit all kinds of trojans, malwear and other "stuff" that wrecks havoc in my work life. Earlier in the month there were two days that I didn't spend at this site and the reason was that I was 'fixing' my primary home computer for about 72 hours. What a waste of time. I finally got sick of it and looked around for answers. First I purchase the virus and spyware software from PC TOOLS and now the switch to using OPERA to navigate the "Wild, Wild Web"!
Now the end of another day. Sam's out. Carpe Diem and a good weekend. OUT!
