DAY # 383 : Getting the Engine Moving. UPDATE: Last Friday, after waiting until I was satisfied, I got the email out announcing that our network VERSION 2.0 was out. It was 5 AM when I "press the send" button and got to sleep. The problem was that the next day when I checked to see my copies of the email, there was none. The problem once again was the Plexum software not doing what it was suppose to. Plexum seems to fail at the most important time. After two trouble tickets I got a note that the "problem solved" but once again, I had to go back to our ADMIN area |

and send the email again for it to work. I suppose all this is due to Plexum not doing what it's suppose to. But, it's my fault. I made the wrong choice. I don't like to complain, I don't like to blame... But Plexum failed us several times. First the failure was with the hosting the was suppose to be "optimized for Plexum" but then shut down for more than 32 hours just about every Friday and Saturday in December. I am discussing this now because this is the last month with Plexum. By the end of the month I'll transition the network to Wildfire Network Marketing Software that's been around since 1989 and I've used on two occasions in the 90's. I know that Wildfire is proven and can handle the millions of records that we'll need to handle. My plan is to use the software to manage the Representatives and the Members, which then needs some modification. But I think that is the best solution that the company has, especially because Wildfire running on Windows Server 2003, in a clustered environment and several workstations, email servers and webservers can all be manage at the office, using office bandwidth. In the long run the setup saves money and is better for the goals of the company. Everything that seems like two steps back has a silver lining. Carpe Diem, Sam.
