For Alex...

Dear Family and Friends,

I wish I could share with everyone here a bit of wisdom from what I have experienced in the past week.  I cannot.  All I can tell you is that my sorrow is at depths that I cannot explain.  And I spend most of my time trying to cope with not being able to talk to someone that I shared LIFE and GREW older with for many years


My Dearest Alex,

Five years and nearly five months ago I was blessed with a Gift, in a beautiful BABY BOY that magically took your mother and I to a new chapter in our relationship. 

From then on we shared a lot of firsts... From my first diaper change to the first time we shared a bike ride.  With a BUGABOO (baby carriage) in one hand and a dog leash in another, we made rounds just about every day.

Everything that we did together was a FIRST for father and son. Through that experience I became a REAL father.  Everything that I learned, which I am now fortunate enough to share with Cy and Liv, I learned with you.

On another level, I kept thinking that I had to be on top of things. Otherwise, you would start running the household!  Sorry that my computers were off limits. I knew sooner or later you'd discover online shopping for ROBOTS, which then you'd setup to do all of your work.

Alex, all of my hopes and dreams I worked so hard to achieve were part of a plan to share the experiences of life with you. Those experiences were supposed to COME ALIVE project by project.

I am very fortunate that during these years I was close to you.  I worked near you, and when I was interrupted by you, I was fortunate enough to be able to hold and talk to you.

Alex, the announcements that bring everyone to see you today said "Farewell... " but we know that will NOT happen.  That is not how we planned. Papa will be with Mommy, Cy and Liv for as long as I can.  We love each other very much.

Then I hope to see you one day... Take Care, Love, Papa

I am now left with another Guy and Gal, who are just as great as Alex and I'll focus on their life and well being. As well as that of the whole family.

The ideas that are part of my writing and work are mostly from the time that I was about sixteen... They were nurtured for another sixteen years, mostly spent educating myself. Then several years of experience, and now written about for over two years. Those ideas don't change...
