NOTE: Monday, 05-Dec-2005 10:56 PM At one point (today) I wanted to give this page a "total make over" as the new pages have a "better look & feel" and then I decided not to do it for this reason: The very point of this entire exercise, this conversation that I have had for months --actually years, is all about reaching excellence. It's all about starting out with seemingly nothing and then growing it and building upon it and making something of it. AND I am not talking about pennies! Anyway, this page was a start of an idea. Thus, it does not have to be a pretty paper, nor look perfect or even have the correct spelling. It just has "to be" for my argument is that for most souls walking this earth, "to be" is an eternity and never gets any "start" and then no "real time" to make a difference. Sadly, "to be" is "could have been" or "should have done it" or something... My argument is that nothing, not time, not circumstance, not position, not education or knowledge is perfect. Everyday, one must learn, and every day "you know" and that just means there's still more that you don't know. I am a "work in progress" and I have to accept that. Thus, this page is set in it's "ugliness" for all to see, which to *me* reflects its true beauty. I hope your start is just as beautiful, for it is your perseverance, your dogged determination and your daily echo of the words "I will, I can..." that in the toughest of "goings" and progress make each step better than the last. As you read my words and echo my thoughts, if you think for a moment that this is all about the pennies or the resulting dollars, and nothing more, you've missed the point. Carpe Diem. W*S. |

I just got started with a list of things that I need to do and talk about.
They are:

The above list I jotted down while traveling. Now a bit of background about each, and what I hope to do...
First of all, when doing something like this, it's handy to keep a PDA or a simple notepad handy at all times to jot down a note or two or when that EUREKA MOMENT happens.
Most of you reading this for the first time may think it's silly to waste time with such a mundane task like building wealth with a FEW CENTS.
I think you see my logic in a bit.
My next task is to spend some free time in the next few days cleaning the house of coins.
Often coins --dollars and euros end up in various places and jars.
I'll collect them in just one place. That should help build several STEPS.
Why bother?
Often when I am doing "mundane things" I come up with great ideas on how to do other things. In this case I have to formulate a plan to BUILD STEPS 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, etc.
FIRST RULE: STEP BUILDING CANNOT be done with BORROWED FUNDS.
You must find a way to BUILD IT! Earn it, work for it... What ever.
You cannot borrow. Period.
I think I'll make a special section with BASIC RULES as part of a challenge!

HOW I COMPLETED STEP 1:
Easy enough. Just collect change at home. Most importantly -- GET STARTED! That I believe is the most important step...

131 WAYS to BUILD YOUR ONLINE BUSINESS! TIPS 1 to 5 are presented @ STEP 01:
TIP 001. Develop a Unique Web Position in your Business.
What is unique about your product or service? Is it
better than the competition or does it just do the
exact same things as everyone else's products. The
successful sites online are never "me-too sites". They
are sites which have come up with a unique angle in
a targeted niche market.
I am sure that you would agree with the assessment that the 31-STEP Financial Success Plan is a unique and one-of-a kind site that educates visitors?
Originally, I wanted to create a daily blog. When I got started, just a month ago (SEPT 04) I realized that I'd have a lot more information to share in addition to a blog.
What ever you do, what ever your interest, find that unique position, angle or what ever you want to call it and follow it.
TIP 002. The Unique Web Position is more important than the ad copy.
Good ad copy can not make up for a poor concept. A good
concept and a unique web position will work even with
ad copy that is just OK. Your ad copy need to highlight
and flow out of whatever it is that is setting your
business apart from the crowd: prices, service,
quality, etc.
As you can see I have not even bothered to write very sales oriented ad copy. I am just presenting this site in a very casual manner. Just like I am doing it --day-by-day. I am only reading things once after writing copy. So, there will be a lot of mistakes. Perhaps, some thoughts will have to be clarified. But, the more important aspect is that I have gotten the process started. I developed a plan and now I am executing it. DAILY!
Tell your unique position like it is and people will understand.
TIP 003. Don't just lower prices if your product isn't selling.
In some cases you may have priced your product too high. In most cases, it is because you haven't set yourself apart as a valuable product to the consumer. Add more bonuses, focus more on unique web position, etc. In other words, add more value to the current package.
My intention is to introduce a product, package, back-office access, etc. later to the site to generate revenue. However, several of my considerations include:
1. TIME NEEDED to MAINTAIN a PRODUCT
2. Any shipping or service needed.
3. Updates to the product
4. Initial time to create the product.
All the above items are weighing heavily on my PRODUCT CREATION task list.
TIP 004. Look for a market before you develop a product.
People who start with a product and go looking for
customers are starting down a hard road. Find a market
full of people who are ready to buy something. Most
of the really successful entrepreneurs find a market
of people and then develop a product that those
people are constantly seeking after.
If you look at my product --How to and Money --that seems to be the eternal product that will always be there. There's always someone with a better, faster, bigger mentality on 'how to make money' and basically, that is what I am "feeding into".
Another aspect of this is to look at TRENDS.
TIP 005. Look for a hungry crowd.
The hungrier that your potential market is for your
product the better your success rate will be. Don't
spend your time trying to change people's buying habits.
Create a product or find a product that people are
already desperately searching for.
Consider the "baby boomer" generation that is now retiring around the world. Just in the USA these people are estimated at 75 million. That's huge! They set the trends when they decide to do anything.
If you can think of a product to meet the demands of these people, then you are set. Look at some of their needs.
What do they want?
Where do they want to go?
What do they want to do?
What provides them with security?
What helps them feel secure?
If you can take the time to answer these question and go about solving their needs, then you have a product. And one that will do very well!
