Building Success

DAY #23: Building Success

Just a few hours later, but had a great night of sleep. Another thought while I went to sleep -I seem to be managing/updating my blog incorrectly. What I am doing is putting some of my thoughts in the blog and then working on it and reporting the outcome over many gaps in time -sometime days and a few times weeks.

Not good.

On-the-other-hand, what I should be doing is to share *all* of my thoughts regardless of their outrageousness! And do it more often.

Try daily.

In short, my thoughts as well as what I get done should be shared, and often.

OK, that is what I will do from today.

So, what’s in store for today and the rest of the week: I have been making a major update to the world’s first global discount card, the Maxsimo card.

It will have the first P2P commissions payment system, where the network will enable a system that will allow people to join and send payments to their sellers online.

Remember the old days when chain letters were sent via postal mail?

When you got one, you were suppose to put $5 into four (or five -can’t remember exactly) envelopes and send it off to the people who had their names on the “sponsor” list. Then you were to repeat the process and send out a bunch of letters yourself –AFTER putting in your name and address in the “Fifth Spot”. Well, this is similar to that except the product is great and the entire process is electronic and costs virtually nothing to get it going.

The old postal letter process cost a lot for stamps, mailing list, etc. So, if you mailed 500 or a 1000 letters as the scheme suggested, it cost between $200 to $400 getter started. Most people are not going to do that.

Anyway, what most people was put their friends and family in few of the 5 spots and send out letters -perhaps, to a list that was not the best.

The end result between the cheating and less-than-perfect targeting of the advertising campaign was that the process did not work.

Yes, Johnny DID NOT have $100,000 in $5 Lincoln bills hidden in his bedroom closet.

Nevertheless the story sold. And did it sell. There have been millions and millions of these letters that have been sent via the postal services world wide. I don’t have time to research all of this, but I presume that at some part of history a major portion -say about 10% of the postal mail -carried letters such as what you and I’d call a “chain letter”.

My idea is similar, but much more efficient, clean, easy to do and LEGAL. Yes, that is very important, in this day and age. And it would only cost $5 or $10 to get started.

I call it a P2P Commission Payment Process!

Anyway, all of this and more will get going again on the 4th of April. Most of it is ready at this time on maxsimo.com. However, there are some Affiliate issues that have to resolved before the marketing plan is executed.

So, this week maxsimo.com and it’s new marketing plan is a major part of my work.

Secondly and just as importantly, I will be updating the NEXT SuperStock area also. The months of January and February were great for investing. Mostly from Apple Computer options. Now I am on to another selection of great companies to invest in.

Once again, during most of this year I plan to offer some of the services at NEXT SuperStock for free, so, this is the time to take advantage of that and get a membership.

With the right plan investing in stocks are great. But make sure to have a plan, unless one could lose their socks and the short off your back in the process. Not to mention a whole lot more…

However, with a great plan one can do wonders.

The 31-Step Financial Success Plan is taking this into account as I am planning to double the latter steps using stocks and options.

Once again, I’ll talk at length about all of this as I continue the process.

Now all of my processes, actions, failures, etc., etc. seem to be a endless bunch of time wasted you’d think? BUT, not so!

The traffic to the site is steadily climbing. The number of visitors are now from about 50 countries and February had the biggest month of visitors.

All of this was done with some search engine registering, and just about a week ago a GOOGLE “BOT” had visited for the first time. I had registered at google suggest a site way back in November or so last year.

Only now did the busy ‘bot’ get to p31.com and “spider” all of my pages.

There are about 10 other search engines that visit regularly. I think they visit often because I have the word “UPDATE” all over the place with a time ’stamp’ next to it.

That tells these systems (indexing algorithms) that this is a site that is often updated and has content that is relevant to the key words that are found at the META TAGS on the top of the pages.

SO! All the work is paying off, bit by bit, and the visitor count (yes, after reducing those ‘bots’ that visit) is steadily rising.

I have no idea what it will be at the end of the year, but I know at the current pace it is not inaccurate for me to assume that about 1,000 unique visitors per day will be visiting to see what is happening, perhaps, as soon as this summer.

Why do you think I think so?

Well, for one, the biggest problem facing anyone with a business online is traffic. And there are millions –perhaps a 100 million people out there with web pages who are actively seeking ways of getting more visitors. I certainly have done that from time to time. I have visited web pages to see what interesting content they have that is attracting visitors.

Then p31.com can be such a site. Offering a lot of people what they need.

Secondly, I haven’t even mentioned the part about the 31 STEPS. Who in the world would not be interest to hear about a guy, sitting at his computer in some part of the world, and writing about how he used that computer and resources found on the Internet, and some coins found around the house to start a project that took $0.01 and kept building on that, step by step, until it reached a staggering $10,737,000 plus some change?

Yes, I am sure a lot of people will like to read and learn about it.

So, here I am, ‘pluggin’ away and doing just that.

And a word to you out there who have a similar idea -GO FOR IT! There is no better time than “RIGHT NOW” to get your idea going… BUT, what about the KIDS I have to take care of you say? What about my school? What about my wife? I don’t feel good now. I want to wait ’til…

Nope. I’ve had all these problems. I can remember a while back, a year or two out of college, I had to step out of a bus because I was short $0.10 for the fair. The bus fair for COTA (Central Ohio Transit Authority) in Columbus, Ohio had a fair for which I was short $0.10 and thus the driver asked me to step out of the bus at the next stop. I had felt it was tremendously unfair but I graciously stepped out and tucked away the memory as a “burning desire” to build upon one day. I have. I still remember the drivers “OPERATOR ID TAG” with four numbers. But now I can smile thinking about it.

Anyway, even at that time I was working at a company fixing computers. In one summer I fixed so many computers, after that I could build my own pc’s. So now for about 5 generations of new pc’s I have build my own and never needed the help of someone to “fix” my pc.

Still at that time I was learning and planning on ways to build a business and all these plans are in countless notebooks. Now it’s online! Right here…

The reason I shared this with you is to let you know that things were not easy all the time. They were down right very difficult. But, day by day, you have to move forward and sometimes that may feels life going backwards, and the feet don’t carry you so far daily, but keep at it. A crawl will move to a walk and then to a run and then you fly. From Congo to even Columbus, this process is the same. Believe me, I have been there -from the depths of Africa to all parts of America. The process is the same. The vision will lead the way.

Let me make two definitions while the thought is on my mind. Please don’t dismiss this because I am an American and have been blessed to have been from what I call the Greatest, Big Country in the World, but here is the thought:

They are two definitions:

SUCCESS: ONE who theorizes, plans, plans and plans over and over, and then builds and then executes a plan that will lead to greater personal, spiritual and financial success in their lifetime and then is blessed to help others.

FAILURE: One who tried and thinks he/she cannot do it.

Keep these two in mind. As early as in my teens I thought of myself as a success as I kept “developing and crafting” the ideas and plans that have led to successes that I am enjoying now.

Maxsimo.com was thought of at age 18.5 while at my first true job at a hospital pharmacy freshman year at college.

And lastly, remember, even the greats (I think I talked about this a while back) are those who have failed a lot. Consider some one like Babe Ruth (Early baseball great and still perhaps the greatest all-around player) who had an incredible hitting and scoring percentage, also struck often. Well, that is baseball. However, when he did go out, he did so swigging.

And then consider Michael Jordan, who had been trusted with a game winning shot in more than 100 games and 2/3 (two-thirds of the time) missed and lost the game for the Chicago Bulls.

BTW, if I have missed these facts, please let me know and I’ll correct them. I am pretty sure that this is true as I read them at one time or another. Anyway, I have been a baseball fan and a Jordan fan at one time of my life. But, I am not 100% certain of the stats, so, please let me know if I am way off on this…

The only thing I can say about America that differentiates it from many other parts of the world is this: In the great US of A, it is possible to fail a lot and then eventually succeed. In many other parts of the worlds, often many people get “one shot”. But things are changing… very fast. So, keep at it!

’til later. Sam.
